Field Director - Coastal Rim District

Description

YFU USA currently seeks a candidate for a Field Director in the Coastal Rim District to manage volunteers in the Houston and East Texas field to meet program goals. Working closely with the District Director and volunteer area coordinators, the Field Director develops and implements plans to achieve volunteer, host family, and American overseas recruitment goals and development needs. This position provides volunteer management, planning and administrative oversight to a volunteer force in an assigned geographic field to deliver a quality program and to achieve field goals as agreed upon with the District Director and detailed in the annual Field Plan.

Qualifications

Should be self-motivated and directed and should possess exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. International and intercultural experience preferred and marketing background highly desired. Previous experience working with, recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. Detailed; goal-oriented; and excellent organizational ability; an excellent listener, motivator, and problem-solver; ability to work calmly and productively under pressure and can work discreetly with sensitive issues. Ability to manage a fast-paced; challenging; and at times stressful position while meeting deadlines consistently. Excellent computer skills are required. Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends when necessary. An undergraduate degree in international relations, education, organizational development, public relations, sales ~ or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
