Youth For Understanding, as a 501(c) (3) organization, would be pleased to accept tax-advantaged contributions in support of our mission of international exchange. While many donors prefer to give gifts of cash by check, it is also possible to donate stock, personal property, and other valuable items to support YFU.

There are two Funds to which you may direct your gift:

Diana FolleboutThe Follebout Alumni Fund was established in 1999 in memory of Diana Follebout, a former YFU Regional Director, an active YFU alumni supporter and the reason why many of our members are involved with YFU, this fund has been created to provided financial assistance to local and national YFU alumni groups.

YFU also has an Annual Fund. Funds raised through this campaign support new program development, scholarships for deserving students, and volunteer training and orientations. Your gift to YFU lets you join the international, corporate, and other individual donors who are taking an active role in shaping the future of young people.

Don't forget to check with your place of employment to see if they offer to match employee's charitable contributions. Your gifts are tax-deductible.

If you would like to make a contribution, please contact Reid Rago in the office of Public Affairs and Development to discuss your gift, or send it directly to:

You can also donate to YFU through Greatergood.com. Greatergood.com, a website that donates a percentage of web-based purchases to selected non-profits, now allows you to choose YFU as your favorite charity. By making purchases at certain on-line retailers through the Greatergood website, 5-15% of those purchases will automatically be donated to YFU.
