I graduated from Vanderbilt in 1997 and enrolled at Emory University School of Law that fall. I graduated from Emory in May of 2000, and married my husband, Lane Davis, a classmate from Emory Law in November of 2000. My host parents and host brother from my year in Germany attended the wedding. I have been fortunate to have remained in contact with my German host family in the years since my time in Germany. I have been back to visit on several occasions and they have visited my family in the US as well."

In July 2001, I received my PhD in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. I am now a professor of Mathematics at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. The secretary across the hall from me is Austrian, so I get to practice my German every day!"

I'm currently a pre doctoral fellow at the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC where I am completing research for my PhD dissertation in the American Culture program at the University of Michigan. Currently, I am pursuing graduate studies in Public Health at the University of Michigan, where I also teach part-time as a graduate student instructor in the German department, and caring for our son, Connor John, born August 2001."
