Hi! My name is Teresa Michelle Obrero (sadorainbowqueen@hotmail.com) and I'm the class contact for Germany 1998-99.

Now as I look back on my exchange, I realize that I have learned so much from it and that it has shaped me into the adult I am. Living in a foreign place is exciting; there is so much to see and do. But what I loved the best, was living with my host family. They extended their open hearts to me and treated me like family. We are still in touch and my host sister even came to the USA with YFU. I would really recommened going on an exchange. It is an experience that will set you apart from the crowd. Going abroad your junior year works the best. Trust me, you will never be as free as you are in high school or your early college days. Take the chance and go. You will learn so much more than just language, you will experience culture; become a worldly citizen; and you think twice after being an exchange student. You are global.

Please contact me at sadorainbowqueen@hotmail.com and let me know how you are doing and what this exchange experience has meant to you!
