Tjena! Valkommen! Tycker du at Sverige ar fantastic? Langta du efter det? If you traveled to Sweden in 1983-1984 with YFU...I'M LOOKING FOR YOU!

My life is very busy...I have a successful career, as well as a son, but I believe, as I'm sure you do, my exchange experience changed my life...played a significant role in making me who I am today...so we must do what we can to continue the important work of YFU.

Think back to post-arrival orientation...

Remember when the culture was so foreign to us? How did we learn so much in so little time? Remember our outing to Goteborg? I have a great story about Zerrin and I at the bath house...she being the sophisticated California Girl knew to order up a hot oil massage...while I on the other had was trying to be more exotic and opted for a seaweed bath. I was clearly disappointed when I was left to sit in a tub of seaweed and snails, only to be told I couldn't rinse off afterward! Is that why all of you avoided me the rest of the day?!

How about our mid-year trip to Stockholm? Some of us were lucky and had the opportunity to attend the Nobel awards...Olof Palme and all!

Then the pre-departure orientation in...heck...where was that up North? Orebro? Somewhere close to Dalernas. It was a beautiful setting...and an emotional time...especially knowing we may never see our Aussie friends again.

Then there was our departure! Thank God that plane didn't take off! But, what a wild night waiting!

We all have our own memories...as well as shared ones. I have tons of pictures I would like to add to this year book...but I it would be a much more accurate pictorial if we could add your photos too! After all, we were spread out all over the county...we need equal representation!

Also...I can't seem to put a name to each face or remember the specifics about certain towns etc...I could use some assistance! How is your memory?

The most important thing I remember is what an incredible experience I had...and imagine how many young people have been given similar experiences since then. It isn't clich» to say that the world is a better place because of YFU.

So...Here I am!...Where are you? If you are reading this...PLEASE CONTACT ME! YFU would like to know where we are and what we're doing.

Wishing you all the best.

Peace,
Lisa
