Hi -- I'm Katy Morecock-Lloyd, the Class Contact for Switzerland, Summer 1992. After studying French for four years in school, I decided to combine my love for travel with my interest in French by spending the summer in Switzerland. I decided to stay in Switzerland based on my visit to the country in 1990. It was absolutely the most beautiful place I had ever been! During my exchange, I lived with a family in Lausanne, a town on Lake Geneva. I had the opportunity to make many new friends and visit exciting places including Yvoire, France and Rome, Italy. I was also lucky enough to attend independence day celebrations of three countries, the US, France and Switzerland! Not only did I learn about other cultures, I learned a lot about myself and life. I think that if it hadn't been for my exchange, I would have never been able to go away to college. When I look back on my exchange today, I think about all the wonderful opportunities I had and realize how lucky I am to have experienced such a great time in such a beautiful country.
