In on-going efforts to increase communication between alumni and YFU and to develop local alumni groups, some National Alumni Council (NAC) members have volunteered to fill the role as a liaison between the NAC, the Regional Offices and local alumni groups. The objectives are to increase the flow of communication between the NAC, the Regional Offices, volunteers and alumni, to increase the numbers of alumni and opportunities available for involvement, and serve as a resource to the regions, particularly in the areas of alumni involvement and development. The NAC Regional Facilitator will have a number of responsibilities but will remain flexible in order to collaborate effectively on regional needs and interests.

Tasks might include:

Conduct presentations at Regional Workshops and/or Field Manager Meetings
Assist region in selecting and training of local Alumni Coordinators
Mentor new Alumni Coordinators and provide Alumni Association materials
Assist new Alumni Coordinators with planning the first few events
Facilitate communication between Alumni Coordinators both within and across regions
Track alumni activities within the region

At this time, all of the ten regions have a Regional Facilitator. Please feel free to contact the designated NAC Regional Facilitator, if you are interested in alumni development or have questions about local activities. There are many diverse opportunities and strategies for developing and maintaining alumni in a local Alumni Association and/or involving alumni as YFU volunteers.
