Recommended Criteria for Judging Photos

Photos should be of people and should show an aspect of youth exchange. An American student with their Japanese host family, a Colombian student enjoying a typical American experience, a family photo with your exchange student, an American student visiting a temple in Thailand; these are just a few of the many possibilities. Preference should be given to photos that capture close-up facial expressions and emotions and are closely framed with the focus being on the subjects in the photo, not necessarily the background.

Rules

First Prize is $100, Second Prize is $50, and Third Prize is $25 (all prizes in US dollars).
Winners will be notified by email and the results will be posted within two weeks of the conclusion of the contest.
One vote is allowed per computer or household (if multiple computers share the same internet connection). You may vote as many times as you like, but only your last vote will be counted.
YFU USA staff and Volunteer staff are eligible to vote.
For a tie, YFU USA staff will make the final decision.
